TWL is a mobile zine library and community publishing resource that travels to events and unconventional locations to showcase D.I.Y alternative independent zines and handmade publications as well as facilitating zine making through workshops.
zines are a unique and special tool for sharing ideas, knowledge and personal stories. The format is becoming a recognised tool for research and connecting people, that's why zines should be shared without barriers. The project launched in August 2024 to bring these amazing artefacts together to share their magic and inspire autonomous authorship with artists and community groups.
The Wanderin' Library is a growing archive of zines and micro-edition books mostly stemming from Liverpool and the North West UK. Many zines in the archive have been made in collaboration with community groups or by individuals with a vision, art, or story to tell. As the project continues the catalogue will expand to include publications published by TWL.

Projects and Workshops
In Spring 2024 we hosted a weekly 2 hour workshop with women attending the charity hub Tomorrow's Women in Birkenhead.
Working around the themes of self care and mental health participants each designed their own zine with unique perspectives, exploring though playing with image making techniques.

TWL is part of an amazing new project called Stories of Solidarity, the project is an amazing cross specialism collaboration that includes theatre workshops and zine making which will come together to create a touring show, gallery exhibition and zine!
